Minors

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not intentionally collect Personal Information from children. If you are the parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us at the address below to request deletion.

Booth Space

Booth Display Guidelines

Changing Thymes provides vendors with a space to showcase their small business and encourages personal creativity within that space. To maintain a safe, professional, and cohesive shopping environment, all vendors must follow these guidelines. Changing Thymes reserves the right to modify, adjust, or remove any display, fixture, or item that poses a safety concern or does not meet store standards.

Your booth represents both your business and Changing Thymes. Please keep your space clean, organized, visually appealing, safe for customers to navigate, and handicap accessible.

Booth Displays

  • Each booth varies in size and features. Make the most of your space while adding your own style.
  • Contact management before making changes to any permanent displays or fixtures.

Backdrops & Display Pieces

  • Vendors are encouraged to use creativity in how they display their items including adding signage, displaying business cards, or incorporating a theme to their space.
  • As we try to bring the level of our store up, we ask vendors to refrain from using uncovered pegboard, metallic grid, tables with folding legs, or cardboard/plastic boxes to display items.
  • Clearly mark display items "NFS" (Not For Sale) if they are not being sold.
  • Backdrops may not exceed 6 feet in height and must remain within your rented space.
  • Obtain permission before attaching to or using a neighboring vendor’s backdrop or display.
  • Contact management if you have questions about acceptable backdrop materials.

Booth Boundaries

  • All inventory and displays must remain within your leased space.
  • Items may not extend into neighboring booths or walkways.
  • Staff may relocate items that extend beyond booth boundaries.

Endcaps

  • Items displayed on endcaps must not protrude into walkways or neighboring booths.

Hangers

  • Label hangers with your vendor number so they can be returned to the correct booth.

Hanging Items

  • Items may not be hung from ceilings or over doorways without prior approval from management.

Flooring

  • Vendors may paint or install flooring in their booth.
  • Any change in floor height must include a transition strip.
  • Rugs, loose carpeting, and exposed cords are not permitted due to trip hazards.

Walls

  • Any vendor-built walls must not exceed 6' tall and must be sturdy and safe.
  • Permission is required before attaching anything to a neighboring vendor's wall.
  • Speak with management before painting or wallpapering walls.

Lighting/Electrical/Compliance

  • Some spaces have access to an electircal outlet. Vendors may plug in one power strip per outlet , but all devices should be plugged directly into the power strip. Daisy chaining power strips or using multiple extension cords is not allowed for safety reasons.
  • In some areas, electricity may be turned off after business hours.
  • Fire extinguishers and other safety equipment must remain in their designated area.
Communication

Communication

Communication from the store to vendors will be via email, newsletters, and Vendor Meetings. Vendors are responsible for reading and listening to all updates. Changing Thymes is not responsible for missed information that is provided.

Statements

  • Vendor statements and payments will be ready after 2pm on the 5th of each month and available for pickup at the Wilson location. Remember that customers come first, so be patient when picking up your check.
  • If you owe rent for the month, you will receive an email stating the amount owed, where you must go to pay and the date it must be paid by to avoid a penalty fee.

Email

  • You will receive a occasional newsletters which will be emailed to you. If you do not receive any, please check your spam. If you still do not see it, please email shopct@changingthymeswestmi.com with your correct email address so we can update our system.

Large Items

  • On Go Antiquing, when a large item sells, it will say either “HERE” or “GONE” in the description to indicate where the item is. This will help you with knowing how to restock your booth. (Sometimes when it is really busy, we do miss putting this is)
  • Please mark large and heavy items with a tag that states “Bring Help to Load”

Text/Call

  • You may receive a text or phone call if an item is missing a price or has an altered price and someone is wishing to purchase it. Please respond ASAP as the customer may be there waiting.

  • Please join our Vendor Facebook group so you can be in contact with your fellow vendors and have additional contact with the shops.

  • Please remember to be checking the Facebook Group often for reminders and photos of items that may have been left in the vendor closet. We will also be posting pictures of tags that are missing vendor numbers and information for upcoming events.

Vendor Meetings:

  • Periodically vendors and employees get together at the for an informal time of idea sharing and shop talk. This is a great time to talk to Becca and bring concerns and any ideas for the shop! Meetings will be announced in the newsletters and on the Vendor Facebook Page.

Within the Shop

  • Remember that you are representing not only Changing Thymes, but every other vendor who has a booth in the shop, so make sure your words are positive and reflect well on this business.
  • There is to be NO political, racist or divisive talk in the shop. Vendors are not to discuss political parties or views while in the shop. 
  • Please show kindness and respect to all customers, vendors and employees when you are in Changing Thymes.  
Donations

Donated Items

As a way to help keep costs down we will gladly accept donations! We are always needing extra supplies, so while you are out picking, keep your eyes open for the following items:

  1. Wrap Materials
  • Rolls of craft/newsprint/butcher paper, or flattened, large pieces of paper. (please no crumpled, torn paper)
  • Bubble wrap
  • Rolls of tape

Hours/Holidays

Our products are manufactured both locally and globally. We carefully select our manufacturing partners to ensure our products are high quality and a fair value.

Inventory

Free Food - Please do not put free candy or snacks in your booth. This is an allergy/safety concern and also can create extra messes in the shop.
